Double Points: HELL - Do you like me on your pillow?
Double Points: HELL, a piece which Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten created at the invitation of the Festival d’Avignon, is to be regarded as a study for the group piece HELL (2006). At the invitation of
Pina Bausch it was put back on the programme in 2008, for the Internationales Tanz Festival NRW.

In Double Points: HELL Sawami Fukuoka dances with her shadow, alter ego, companion and voyeur. It follows her, guides her, dances and fights with her. He is a double, a dance partner, lover and
opponent, he is trusted and dangerous. The dance takes place in the tension between love, trust,
female sexuality and violence and exposes existential questions.

Double Points: HELLinterconnects the different artistic textures that EG | PC has worked with in the
previous years. In addition it throws its shadow ahead and with a surprising duet on Beethoven’s Fifth
Symphony and an unforgettable, burdened tango, it delivers plentiful material for the latter group piece
HELL.

Double Points: PARADISO - A Study for Paradise
EG | PC asked choreographer Andrea Božic, artist-in-residence at ICKamsterdam for two years, to
create a sketch performance on Dante’s Paradiso. She involved her long-time creative partners,
composer Robert Pravda and video artist Julia Willms. Reflecting on how mediatechnology can
influence our feeling of presence within a space and the world around us.

Double Points: PARADISO - A Study For Paradise splits and multiplies the present moment now into many that exist at the same time. A girl, a boy, an audience, their sound and image. The sum of
elements is always the same but something is exchanged within.

Before studying Zen, men are men and mountains are mountains. While studying Zen things become
confused. After studying Zen men are men and mountains are mountains. After telling this, dr. Suzuki
was asked: “What is the difference between before and after?” He said: “No difference. Only the feet
are a little bit off the ground.”

Frascati International: Poetry of the Everyday
With L'Effet de Serge by Philippe Quesne, Cheap Lecture & The Cow Piece by Jonathan Burrows & Matteo Fargion and Double Points: HELL | PARADISO by Andrea Božic & Emio Greco | PC, in April Frascati will be presenting productions in which the beauty of the everyday is revealed in a truly phenomenal way. Seemingly simple, natural performances that stress the poetry of everyday life and point out human failings in a subtle way. Quesne and Burrows/Fargion's productions are characterised by strong use of composition, rhythm and music. They also combine a great sense of humour with almost childlike enthusiasm and pleasure.
