Part of the Flemish Classics programme
In 1879, A Doll’s House by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen had its première: a daring play that questioned the traditional relationship between man and woman and stirred up huge controversy. STAN became fascinated by this play and its famous protagonist Nora. The Flemish company transforms this classic into a contemporary story of moral superciliousness and social hypocrisy, but also a subtle criticism of consumerism and the pitfalls potentially lying in wait for well-heeled families in the Europe of 2012.
